Beijing National Stadium Olympics:
The national stadium of the Beijing is also known as the Birds Nest due to its architectural style. National stadium is the stadium whose construction has been completed for the Olympic Green in March 2008. The National stadium of the Beijing will organize the filed and the main track competition for the Summer Olympics 2008. This stadium will also host the closing and the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics 2008. The Beijing National Stadium is situated in the east of Beijing National Aquatics Centre.
On December 2003, for the Christmas Eve the ground was broken and in the March 2004, the construction was started but in August 2004 it was halted due to the high construction price and again the construction was continued again. All the concerns about the working condition of the construction take place in the January 2008, because it was said that the two of the worker’s died at the time of the construction of the stadium.
Beijing National Stadium Olympics is capable of providing the seat to the as many of 91,000 spectators at the time of the Olympics. After the games the capacity of the stadium will be decreased to the 80,000 spectators. This stadium has replaced the unique projected venue of Guangdong Olympic Stadium. The Beijing National Stadium Olympics is 69.2mt tall, 220mt wide and 330 mt long. The national stadium covers the space of the 258,000 sq mt and the working area of the 204,000 sq mt. The Beijing National stadium was constructed with the 36 km of the unwrapped steel, with the merged weight of the 45,000 tones. The cost of the national stadium is up to the 3.5 billion Yuan.
