Triathlon Venue
The Chinese was moved from the Nanjing to Beijing by the 3rd emperor Yongle during Ming Dynasty. The Ming tombs are situated nearby the Mount’s southern slope. The Triathlon Venue is having the natural setting of picturesque and it will be place of 40 kilo meter bike race, 1.5 kilo meter swimming and 10 kilo meter run during the 2008 Summer Olympics. It is having almost all the features that are required in order to meet the requirement of big international events. It is said about the venue that “the most environmentally friendly triathlon venue in the world”. The statement is made by the international Triathlon Union. The reason behind this statement is that the particular venue is supposed to be as temporary. It has been planned out that what will be the allocation of the used material after the venue is dismantled.
Triathlon Olympics Venue is counted as the best in its category and it has hosted the World Cup Competitions in 2005 as well as 2006. Now it is going to host the 2008 Summer Olympics or Games. Here at this venue, races are divided into various parts. The first part of race will provide the chance to the audiences to enjoy the swimming event that will take place in Ming Tomb Reservoir and there will be a pagoda standing with backdrop of the mountain.
When the round or stage of swimming will be over, all of the competitors will mount their own bikes and will start riding across the right of the bank of Dongsha River Road and scenic route that will include the 6 laps to be completed. Once this round will be finished, then race of ten kilo meter of four laps will take place. In the round of 10 kilometer race, this time few changes are going to take place. At the place of running at the road, first time a track has been made of rubber on which all the racers have to run. The rubber used in making the track is obtained from used tires. Once the summer games of 2008 will come in conclusion, the particular track has to be installed the Changping District.
As far as the capacity of the Triathlon Venue is concerned, 10,000 spectators can stand there in a time, and there will be number of big screens near the fans so that they can also watch the event very closely.
